穩字當頭 我國一季度GDP同比增6.9%

China's economy got off to a rosy start in the first quarter, with gross domestic product (GDP) growing at 6.9% year-on-year, said the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) last Monday.

國家統計局上週一表示，一季度我國經濟開局良好，國內生產總值(GDP)同比增長6.9%。

This beat previous market expectations of 6.8% and came well above the annual growth target of around 6.5% set in this year's government work report.

這一數字超出了此前6.8%的市場預期，且遠高於今年政府工作報告中所制定的6.5%左右的年度增長目標。

GDP growth in the first three months remained steady at 0.2 percentage point higher than a year ago, showing a stabilizing trend in the economy, analysts said.

分析人士稱，一季度GDP增速持穩，較一年前增長了0.2個百分點，這表明經濟走勢趨穩。

Although consumption growth dropped slightly, an uptick in infrastructure investment and a higher export growth have contributed to the stable growth.

Improvement in industrial production is also a major contributor to the stable growth in the first quarter, according to the NBS.
