Taiwanese Susan Boyle Sings 'I Will Always Love You' Better Than Whitney Houston
In case you haven't already seen it, this video of a man singing 'I Will Always Love You' on the Taiwanese talent show 'Super Star Avenue' is outstanding for a few reasons.

First, Lin Yu Chun gives Whitney Houston an insane run for her money; he is the Taiwanese Susan Boyle without the cat.

Second, like Boyle, his style is somewhat…retro. We love that bowl cut.

Finally, and most disconcertingly for Western viewers, there's no applause at a single point during the song - not even when Lin hits notes only a Medieval-era castrato should reach. On American talent shows, lights flash, confetti is thrown and the audience erupts at the first marginally well-sung note.
