潘基文表示任期結束後再考慮是否競選韓國總統

UN chief Ban Ki-moon left open the possibility of running for the South Korean presidency after his term with the world body ends, local media reported.

據當地媒體報道，聯合國祕書長潘基文透露有可能在任期結束後競選韓國總統。

Ban arrived in his home country earlier for a six-day visit that has fueled speculation he is considering a tilt at its top job.

早些時候，潘基文抵達祖國韓國，進行了爲期6天的訪問。此行加深了人們對於他正考慮競選韓國總統的猜測。

"On Jan 1 next year, I will be back as a South Korean," Yonhap quoted Ban as telling journalists in Jeju. "I will contemplate and decide then what I should do as a South Korean citizen and I may ask for your advice if necessary."

韓聯社援引潘基文在濟州對記者的表述稱，"明年1月1日，我將作爲一名韓國公民回國。到時我會謹慎考慮，然後決定作爲一名韓國公民我應該做什麼，必要的話我可能會詢問你們的意見。"

But for now, he added, it would be best for him to concentrate on successfully fulfilling his current duties and ending his second five-year term as U.N. chief well.

不過現在，他補充說道，自己希望能夠專注於現有工作，完美的結束他作爲聯合國祕書長的第二個五年任期。

The former South Korean foreign minister and career diplomat has long been considered a strong contender in the December 2017 presidential election.
