清北畢業生出國率下降

Fewer graduates from China's top two universities－Tsinghua University and Peking University－have chosen to continue their education abroad in recent years, according to data from the two institutions.

清華大學和北京大學的數據顯示，近年來，中國兩所頂尖大學的畢業生選擇出國留學的人數有所減少。

Tsinghua University said 15.3 percent of last year's graduates went abroad to study, down 1.2 percentage points from 2018 and 1.7 percentage points from 2017. It added the figure has continued to fall this year.

清華大學稱，去年15.3%的畢業生選擇出國留學，分別比2018年和2017年下降1.2和1.7個百分點，今年的出國留學人數繼續下降。

In addition, 29 percent of last year's graduates have chosen to continue their studies at domestic universities and research institutes, compared with 28.5 percent in 2018 and 2017.

與此同時，去年29%的清華大學畢業生選擇在國內大學和研究機構繼續深造，而在2018年和2017年這一比例均爲28.5%。

Data from Peking University showed a similar trend, with fewer graduates choosing to continue their studies abroad.

北京大學的數據也顯示了類似的趨勢，選擇出國留學的畢業生越來越少。

Last year, 14.8 percent of graduates from the university chose to study abroad after their graduation, down from 15.2 percent in 2018 and 15.6 percent in 2017.

去年，有14.8%的北京大學畢業生選擇出國留學，低於2018年的15.2%和2017年的15.6%。
