美國漫威之父斯坦李將把猴王拍成電影

Marvel Comics great Stan Lee is to enter the Chinese film market by co-creating a new superhero Movie character, Monkey Master.

美國漫威之父斯坦•李宣佈將合作打造新超級英雄猴王，以此進軍中國電影市場。

According to Variety, Lee will work on the project with Liquid Comics’ Sharad Devarajan, with whom he created Indian superhero Chakra: The Invincible.

據《綜藝》雜誌披露，斯坦•李將和流動漫畫公司的莎拉德•德瓦拉賈聯手進行這一項目，此前斯坦曾與莎拉德合作創造了漫畫《無敵查克拉》中的印度超級英雄。

While Chakra emerged as a 65-minute animated film on Cartoon Network India, Monkey Master is aiming higher: with backing from China’s Shinework Pictures and Graphic India, Lee and Devarajan are planning an international English-language blockbuster.

查克拉被拍成了一部65分鐘的動畫電影，在印度的卡通頻道播放，而猴王項目的目標則定得更高：有了來自中國閃亮影業公司和印度Graphic影業公司的支持，斯坦•李和德瓦拉賈計劃拍出一部世界級的英語大片。

Lee said in a statement: I have always been fascinated by the Chinese and Indian cultures which are so philosophical and rich in tradition and morality.

斯坦•李在聲明中說：我一直被中國和印度文化深深吸引着，這兩種文化都富含哲學內涵，而且擁有豐富的傳統和倫理思想。

Monkey Master will be unique in how it interweaves Chinese and Indian myth to create a hero that will entertain fans across the world with his martial arts skills and unstoppable superpowers.

猴王的獨特之處在於它將把中國和印度的神話糅合在一起，憑藉高超的武術技能和無止境的超能力征服世界各地的粉絲。

Devarajan added: The story will take place between ancient and modern-day China and India as the myth of monkey warriors, known to both cultures, come together in the creation of a modern-day superhero.

德瓦拉賈補充說：故事將發生在古代和現代的中國和印度，這個爲兩國文化所熟知的猴王將從神話中走出來，化身爲現代世界的超級英雄。

According to producers, no cast has yet been hired, but a western director is likely, with a shoot starting at the end of 2017.

據製片人透露，目前尚未聘請演職人員，不過導演可能將由西方人來擔任，電影拍攝預計將於2017年底開始。

The Monkey Master project follows the announcement that a Kingsman-style 70s-set biopic of Lee is being developed at 20th Century Fox.

猴王項目宣佈前不久，有消息傳出將由20世紀福克斯公司拍攝斯坦•李的傳記電影，據悉該片的基調將類似於《王牌特工》，影片背景設定在上世紀70年代。
