古巴冷知識: 不一樣的糉子,玉米做的

糉子在拉美地區也是很常見的一種食物,古巴也一樣,他們的糉子叫 tamale,是用攪碎的玉米做的,包在玉米葉裏面煮熟。

Now, typically, Tamales are made up with freshly ground corn and oodles of seasonings. This is all packed up in corn leaves, cooked and served up to enjoy. You’ll find these all over Cuba and it’s easily one of the best Cuban food and dishes that you have to try. The biggest difference between Cuban tamales and Mexican tamales is that in Cuban tamales, the meat (usually pork) is mixed in with the dough of the tamale, instead of being used as a filling. Cubans also use field corn to make their tamales, which is less sweet and more mealy than normal corn.
