創武漢獎學金紀錄 學霸毛玥獲213.5萬全額獎學金

A 17-year-old student attending the Wuhan Britain-China School, has been accepted to study at the prestigious New York University, Abu Dhabi, regarded as one of the Most selective undergraduate universities in the world.

武外英中一名17歲的女生被著名的紐約大學阿布扎比分校錄取，該校被認爲是全世界最難被錄取的本科院校之一。

Mao Yue is the only student in Wuhan to be granted a full scholarship by a foreign university this year.

毛玥是武漢今年唯一一個被國外大學授予全額獎學金的學生。

The scholarship is worth 2.13 million yuan, about 310,000 U.S. dollars, which is to cover tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, travel expenses and round-trip tickets from Wuhan to Abu Dhabi.

獎學金價值213萬人民幣，約31萬美元，包括學費、伙食費、住宿費、書費和學習用品費用、旅遊費和阿布扎比往返武漢的機票。

It's reported Mao has always excelled in her study, passing the TOEFL with a score of 96 while at middle school. She wrote around 100 English papers during her three years in high school.

據報道，毛玥一直學習優秀，初中參加託福就以96分的高分通過。她在高中3年期間，寫了近百篇英語論文。

Mao is also said to be very active in out-of-class activities, carrying out field research, entering sports competitions, and even conducting investigations on Wuhan's urban redevelopment.

據說毛玥在課外活動中也很積極，參與實地考察、參加體育比賽甚至指導調查武漢城市重建。

'The scholarship wasn't the most important reason for me choosing this university. More than 70 percent of the students are international students and around 90 percent of them are able to speak at least two foreign languages. I like communicating with people from different cultures,' Mao Yue says.

毛玥表示：“獎學金並不是我選該校的首要原因，因爲這個學校的學生70%是國際生，90%的人至少能說兩種外語。我喜歡與有不同文化背景的人交流。”

'I have a great interest in economics and politics. I hope I can do research in both areas,' She adds.

她補充道：“我對經濟和政治很有興趣，我希望能在這兩個領域做研究。”
