深陷賭債風波 孔令輝遭停職處理

Former Olympic champion Kong Linghui has been suspended as head coach of the Chinese women's table tennis team following a lawsuit over a gambling debt filed by a Singaporean hotel, the Chinese Table Tennis Association announced on Tuesday.

中國乒乓球協會本週二宣佈，在新加坡一家酒店對賭債提起訴訟之後，前奧運會冠軍孔令輝已經被停掉了中國女子乒乓球隊主教練一職。

Kong was ordered to return home from the World Championships in Dusseldorf, Germany, to aid an investigation into the matter.

孔令輝已經被責令從德國杜塞爾多夫的世界錦標賽上回國，來協助對此事件進行調查。

A Singaporean hotel where Kong and his family and friends had stayed in 2015 filed a lawsuit against Kong in a Hong Kong court.

孔令輝及其家人、朋友在2015年所居住的一家新加坡酒店，於日前向香港一家法院起訴了孔令輝。

Media reports said Kong borrowed S$1 million (721,200 US dollars) from the hotel, but failed to pay back the debt in full.

媒體報道稱，孔令輝當時總共從該酒店借了100萬新加坡元（摺合72.12萬美元），但並沒有全額償還借款。

Kong posted a statement late Monday on the Weibo acknowledging he had visited the casino with relatives and friends.

週一晚間，孔令輝在新浪微博上發佈了一則聲明，承認他曾經和親人朋友一起去過該賭場。

He said he arranged for members of his party to receive gambling chips under his name, but added that he didn't gamble himself and was "deeply upset" by the allegations.

孔令輝表示，他是以自己的名義，爲同行的人去取的賭博的籌碼，但是他補充說道，自己並沒有賭博，對這些指控“深感不安。”

"After the media brought to light this case today I immediately called some friends and relatives who were there at that time asking them what's happening and I learned someone has debt related to the dispute with the casino," Kong wrote in the statement. "I immediately asked the person who owed money to make a clarification."

孔令輝在聲明中寫道：“今天媒體曝出此事後，我第一時間打電話追問當時在場的親朋好友怎麼回事，才知道當時有人和賭場有債務糾紛，我已第一時間請欠資者出面澄清事實。”

The Chinese General Administration of Sport apologized for the "negative influence" caused by the incident and promised an investigation into the matter.

中國國家體育總局已經就此事件引發的“負面影響”道歉，並承諾對此事進行調查。

"The General Administration of Sport takes a zero-tolerance attitude towards any behaviors which violate sporting ethics, disciplines or laws," said a spokesperson for the administration.

該管理部門的一位發言人稱：“體育總局對任何違反體育道德、紀律或法律的行爲，都是採取零容忍態度。”
