Mr Li, a Chinese farmer, will spend five days in police custody after being charged with "fabrications" which "disturbed the public order".

It all began when he posted a blog entry, claiming to have confronted five aliens on the banks of China's Yellow River, and said that one of them had been killed by an electric fence set up to deter wild rabbits from his farm.

Li uploaded photos of the "dead alien" which he said he was keeping in his freezer, but he later admitted that he had made the creature from rubber, bone glue and wire in a ruse inspired by the Simon Pegg film "Paul".

事情的起因是他在博客上發了一篇帖子，聲稱自己在黃河岸上遇到了五個外星人，其中有一個被自己設在農場上用來捕野兔子的電網電死了。

李某上傳了幾張照片，照片裏是他藏在冷凍櫃裏的已被電死的外星人。但近日，他承認那些“外星人”都是他在受到西蒙·佩吉主演的電影《外星人保羅》啓示後，自己用橡膠、骨膠和電線造出來騙人的詭計兒。

文中第二段的alien作爲名詞，即解釋爲“外星人”。alien還可以做形容詞，意思是“陌生的”、“格格不入的”，常用結構爲be alien to 與某物相牴觸。alien的動詞派生詞爲alienate，解釋爲“離間”，意思相近於estrange。

說到外星人，當然就會聯想到UFO 不明飛行物。UFO是Unidentified Flying Object的縮寫，也可以被稱爲是flying saucer(飛碟)。
